Course Details
There are now three challenge courses available on this site.
We now have the ability to more
courses so please let us know your suggestions! There are
two events for the runners out there,
'The One Lap Challenge' and the 'Richmond - Teddington River
Challenge'. We also have 'The Three
Lap Challenge' for the road cyclists. See below for more info on each course.
The 'One Lap Challenge' The first of the events, for
the runners is the 'One Lap Challenge'. This is one lap around the outer path of
Richmond Park, this can be done clockwise or anti-clockwise and can be started from
any point on the outer path. It's up to you to find your quickest way
round, as long as you stay on the designated course your time will count on the
results table. The lap is approximately 7.35miles long.
The 'Three Lap Challenge' The second of these challenges
is the famous 'Three Lap Challenge' specifically designed for the cyclists out there.
As suggested by it's name this is three laps around the roads within Richmond Park.
Again can be both clockwise and anti-clockwise and can be started from any point
on the road within Richmond Park, just make sure you keep to the course.
The toal for the three laps is just a little over 20 miles.
We
have been asked to point out that there is a 20 mph speed
limit in Richmond Park that is enforced by the Royal Parks
Police. Unless you're Usain Bolt, this shouldn't be a
problem for the runners!!!!!

Many thanks to Steve Morgan from the website
www.richmondparklondon.co.uk for letting us use this

Park and a stunning collection of photographs.
The Richmond - Teddington River
Challenge The latest addition to the site by
popular demand! A well known and well used route by many
runners out there. The course is one lap crosses the Thames
twice, once over Richmond Bridge and once over at Teddington
Lock. As with the other courses you can start anywhere on
the route but you must cross both bridges. This course is
almost exactly 10k (6.2miles).
